  • Designer Label: Don Luis de España started in 1968 in Spain.

Their first collection was designed by Felix Arbeo and sold only in Spain, but when the company moved to New York City in January of 1970, it retained Arbeo to design its first American collection and its Luis II dresses.

Don Luis de España printed its own fabrics and made up its line in a factory in Spain, then shipped the garments to the United States. The company sold their garments in major department stores like Bonwit Teller, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and I. Magnin. They were known for wild and colorful flowing dresses featuring graphic prints and for their associations with designers like Arbeo and Lillie Rubin.

The company was dissolved in September 1982.
